Joyce Crockett Grubb, age 87, of Cripple Creek, VA passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was born June 20, 1929 in Wythe County, daughter of the late James Samuel Crockett and Ethel Littreal Crockett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Landis Grubb; siblings, James  "Bud" Crockett, Donald B. Crockett, Evelyn Robinson, Katheryn Crockett and William B. Crockett. Joyce is survived by two sons, Leo L. and Lora Grubb of Speedwell, VA, Sam R. and Cheryl Grubb of Wytheville, VA; three daughters, Diana and Carl "Randy" Anders of Rural Retreat, VA, Susan and Will Wygal of Wytheville, VA, Lois and Doug Catron of Wytheville, VA; eleven grandchildren, Tim Anders, Randall Anders, Ryan Anders, Charles Wygal, Cassie Hylton, Ashton Bentley, Sarah Wygal, Julia Wygal, Max Grubb, Alicia Terrell and Sean Catron; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Johnson of Cripple Creek, VA, Ruth Ann and John Marshall of Cripple Creek, VA; two brothers, Steve and Maxine Crockett of Collinsville, VA, John and Louise Crockett of Cripple Creek, VA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Sonny Ayers officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until service time. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Crockett Family Cemetery, Cripple Creek, VA.
