Joyce Callahan Hackler was called home to our Lord April 19, 2017 in the loving care of her daughters and husband. She was born August 31, 1938 to Garland and Thelma Callahan.

She married Roy Hackler in 1961. She was a loving and faithful wife for 55 years. She was dedicated to her children in all aspects of their lives. She faithfully taught every member of her family how to lead a life devoted to Christ. Joyce was a Godly and caring woman who touched the lives of all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Audrey Pike; brothers, Garland, Louis, and Wayne; and her son, Barry Blessing. She is survived by her husband, Roy Hackler; her daughters, Kimberly Hagee, Dana Ferguson, Gwen Duncan, and Sarah May; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Callahan, Ruth Coe, and Vicki Eddy.

Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 20, 2017 at West End United Methodist Church. Marvin Howard, a devoted friend and pastor, will be officiating the service. A private graveside service for immediate family will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wythe Hospice of Southwest Virginia or the Alzheimer's association.
