Judith Lynn Marshall Atwell, age 62, of Rural Retreat, Va. passed away Monday, June 24, 2024. She was born January 10, 1962 in Wytheville, VA to the late James H. Marshall Jr. and Frances Davis Marshall. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Mary Margaret "Peggy" Hedrick and Diane Patrick, brother Charles "Dickie" Marshall

She was always helping others. She enjoyed watching Blue Bloods, Gilmore Girls and NCIS. Favorite Song Waiting on a Girl Like You.

Judith is survived by her husband of 34 years Jeffrey Atwell of the home; son Robert Atwell, daughters Jennifer James, Heather Johnson, and Kim Atwell; brother John Marshall and wife Ruth Ann; two sisters Debbie Willard and husband Charlie, Carolyn Cox; five grandchildren Christopher Mohr, Josh Mohr, Amber Peiber, Jasmine James, Adalyn James;  one great-grandchild Oliver Mohr; and Special Friends Bob Bragg and Heidi; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday July 10, 2024 at 5 P.M. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Wytheville; with Rev. Jonathan Hammond Officiating. The family will receive Friends on Wednesday July 10, 2024 from 4 p.m. to the time of the service at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Wytheville.
