Judith Alberta Umberger Jones, age 87, of Austinville, Va. passed away December 20, 2025. She was born on March 10, 1938 in Wythe County Va. to the late Thomas Jackson Umberger Jr. and Dorothy Kathleen Davis Umberger. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee "Riley" Jones, son William Luther "Bill" Jones, siblings William Thomas "Bill" Umberger, Carol Jean Umberger Harris, Eleanor Joyce "Joy" Umberger Pickett, and Timothy Jackson Umberger.

She is survived by her daughter Ellen Wagner and husband Rodney; grandchildren William Lake Wagner and wife Laurie Street Wagner, Paul Edward Wagner; great-granddaughter Sailor Frances Wagner; sister Nancy Ruth Umberger Jones; special nieces Suzetta Porter, Dorothy Pearl Pickett, as well as several nieces and nephews; special friends Tony and Lori Ward, and Cheryl Morgan.

A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Bethany Cemetery in Poplar Camp, Va. With a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date.
