Julia Ann Dunlap Kirk, age 97 of Rural Retreat, VA, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022.  She was born in West Virginia on July 21, 1924 the daughter of the late Nickolas Dunlap and Julia Mae McCormick Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her husband Quincy C Kirk Sr., son Cody Foster Kirk, Daughter-in-laws Linda J. Kirk and Nancy Kirk, Brothers: Robert C Dunlap, George L Dunlap, Nicklous H. Dunlap, Jerry D. Dunlap and Sisters: Dica Dunlap Glenn, Irene Dunlap Gillispie, June Dunlap, Hazel Dunlap Dotson, Ethel Dunlap Tucker.

She worked in a glass factory and retired in 1979. She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Rural Retreat for many years. She loved her family and friends. She liked to sew, cook and garden. She will be greatly missed by her family and especially by her loving dog "Tiny" of the home. She was a very caring and giving person.

Sons:   Freddy Kirk, Quincy C and Pat Kirk, Larry J and Felisha Kirk

Daughter: Bonnie Lue and Larry Laucius

10 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and several Great-Great Grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service on Thursday.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M on Thursday, February 10, 2022 in the Lindsey Memorial Chapel at Lindsey Funeral Home with Pastor Jacob Vanover officiating.

Burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Pallbears will be family and friends.
