July 12, 1932 – December 29, 2022
Julian Dwight Poole, age 90 of the Piney Community passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022. He was the son of the late Roy and Margaret "Cot" Poole.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Poole, siblings, Charles Poole, John W. Poole, Nancy Jackson and a Son-In-Law, Earl Trivette.
He retired from Hutchison as an electrician. He loved to mow, garden, cut wood and do repairs to his church Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his Daughters and Son-In-Law; Diana Trivette, Wytheville.

Son and Daughter-In-Law; Frankie and Angie Poole, Pulaski.
Sisters and Brothers; Sammy Poole, Wynant Harmon, Gary and Mary Poole and Mark and Sue Poole.
Grandchilden; Renee and Danny Dunford, Rodney and Jennifer Jones, Lee Ann and Ryan Broome, Ashley Atkinson, Brett and Sydney Poole and Tyler and Ashley Poole.
Great Grandchildren; Tyler, Hannah and Isaac Dunford. Taylor, Charlie and Landon Jones. Elliott, Hampton and Cooper Broome. And Luke and Izzy Poole.
Dwight was a very good father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the "smartest man we ever knew".
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Danny Shortridge and Rev. Ted Anders, with interment to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
