Obituary

Kasey Lyn Mullins Fisher, age 44, of Wytheville, VA passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 5, 2024.

Kasey was born on December 8,1979 in London, Ohio, daughter of the late Steven Ray Mullins and Pamela Lyn Terry Mullins. Kasey lived her early years in Mount Gilead, Ohio and moved with her family to Wytheville at the age of eleven. Aside from a brief time living in Fairfax and Bedford Virginia, she called Wytheville her hometown. Kasey became a mom at an early age, but she was determined to further her education, so she enrolled in night school and earned her GED. Life as a young mom was not always easy, and Kasey did her best to live her life the best way she knew how. The one thing that she never wavered on was the love that she had for her children and her grandchildren, she was so very proud of them. In her own words, "My family is my everything. Without them I'd be lost! They give me the strength to keep fighting every day!"

We find great comfort in knowing that there was a time in her life that Kasey accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Kasey had a big heart. She could not stand to see anyone in need, from a hot meal to a shower, or even just a cup of coffee and some conversation. She did not pass judgment, she simply showed kindness.

Kasey is survived by her daughters, Kerri Fisher Steele (Justin) of Wytheville, Lauren "Rosebud" Fisher of Wytheville; her son, Ehan Fisher of Wytheville; three grandchildren, Jayce, Ayden, and Keira Steele of Wytheville; two aunts, Elain Terry Waddell of Pulaski, VA and Patty Terry Cox of Pulaski, VA and cousin Jamie Terry; She is also survived by special extended family, Greg Fisher and Eric Fisher, both of Wytheville, VA.

In addition to her parents, Kasey was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Jean Mullins Akers, her Uncle Brad Waddell, Uncle Sam "Pedro" Terry, Jr; her maternal grandparents, Sam Terry Sr. and Margaret Gravely Terry and her paternal grandparents, Kenneth Mullins and Betty Nelson Mullins.

"Your memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part, God has you in His keeping and we have you in our hearts."
