Kaythern W. Littreal McRoberts, age 98 of Max Meadows, VA passed away Monday, January 24, 2022. She was born May 25, 1923 to the late Clarence and Myrtle Spraker Wright. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Littreal and her second husband, James Edgar "Jim Mac" McRoberts; two brothers, John and J.B. Wright; four sisters, Irene Matthews, Mary Rash, Josephine Dalton and Betty Ashford.

Ms. Kat or Grannie, as she is known by many, worked for Wythe County Public Schools as a cafeteria worker for 42 years and retired at the age of 89. She worked at Sheffey Elementary and Fort Chiswell Middle and High Schools. She was a faithful worker to the Piney Community with her many sewing projects and volunteered for all of the Ruritan and Ivanhoe Fire Department dinners and fund raisers by making her wonderful homemade rolls.

Survivors include her three daughters and their spouses, June and David "Tooter" Eversole, Debbie and Pete Shumate, all of Max Meadows, Margaret and Dave Sutliff of Melbourne, FL; two sisters, Aggie Reynolds and Janice Horton; five grandchildren, Brenda Smith, Jeff Eversole, Jennifer Williams, Pamela Blair and Jamie Sutliff; seven great-grandchildren, Heather Hodge, Maggie Williams, Sawyer, Cayce and Tilly Blair, Ella and Eli Sutliff; two great-great-grandchildren, Kyia and David Hodge.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Jeff Callahan officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the family.
