Kelly Elaine Cassada

Kelly Elaine Cassada, 61 of Crockett, Virginia passed away in Wytheville County Hospital on May 29th, 2026.

Kelly was born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1964. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. Cassada and Ellen Daves Cassada. 

Kelly is survived by her life long partner of 40 years, Dennis Sult, her daughters Charlotte Blevins (David Blevins), and Amber Drew, and her granddaughters Miranda and Isabel Blevins. Kelly is also survived by two brothers, Jeff Cassada (Lauar) and Charles Cassada Jr. (Teresa) and several nieces.

Kelly met the love of her life, Dennis in Asheville, North Carolina and a few years later they moved to Crockett Virginia. Kelly loved living in the country. In her healthier years she loved gardening and canning her harvest. Kelly had a love for God’s creatures. She took in many stray dogs and cats. She helped nurse many calves when their mother was unable to do so. Kelly worked many years side by side with Dennis on the farm.

A celebration of life will be held at Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Retreat, Virginia on June 27th at 2:00 pm. Visitation will occur from 1:00 pm – 2pm.
