Larry David Riggins, Sr., age 67, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022. He was born April 23, 1955 in Wythe County and was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Melvin and Frances Burcham Riggins and his brother, Henry "Edd" Riggins.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Austin Riggins of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry, Jr and Kimberly Riggins of Sugar Grove, VA, Elijah and Megan Riggins of Max Meadows; three daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Jason Damron of Rural Retreat, Amy and Jeremy Robbinette, Ashley Payne, all of Max Meadows; special grandsons, Chino Robbinette and Ethan Robbinette; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Martha Daugherty of Rural Retreat, Linda and Gabe Shinault of Max Meadows; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Alley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time. Burial will follow at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Reese Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
