Larry Gale Shupe, Sr. age 84 of Wytheville, VA passed away Friday, February 27, 2026.  He was the son of the late Kyle and Erma Jones Shupe.

Larry is survived by his wife, Susan Landreth Shupe of the home, a son Larry (Heidi) Shupe, Jr. of Wytheville, VA; two daughters, Vonda Shupe of Christiansburg, VA, Valerie (Mark) Williams of Rural Retreat, VA; a sister, Sandra Eaton of Roanoke, VA; four grandchildren, Joshua (Alexandra) Shupe of Palm Bay, FL, Kayla Williams, Newton Williams of Rural Retreat, VA and Taylor Kate of Cary, NC; and one great-granddaughter, Iris Shupe; many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 2, 2026 at the Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville, VA with the Pastor Jerry Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time.  Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Fries, VA.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Hope Cemetery c/o Warren Johnson, 223 Winterberry Rd, Galax, VA 24333.
