Lesley "Les" Charles Mabe, 59, of Buchanan, VA passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Mabe.

Les was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time at his "happy place" the beaches of the Outer Banks and at home with family cooking and grilling. He was a 1983 graduate of Fort Chiswell High School, later from Davidson College in 1987. Les was employed at YRC Freight for 36 years.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lesa Bayless Mabe; son, Wyatt Mabe; mother, Mary Friend Mabe; brother, Wesley S. Mabe; numerous nieces and nephews; cat, Frito; and many lifelong friends.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Mabe Family Cemetery on Archer Road in Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows). Following the graveside there will be a reception at Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church Fellowship Hall, exit 86 of I81.
