Lessie F. Copenhaver, 88, of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Born in Crockett, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Lena Copenhaver.

Lessie grew up in Virginia, where she attended Rural Retreat High School and graduated from Radford College. She worked as a bookkeeper and later became part owner of NAPA Auto Parts in Wytheville until she retired.

Lessie is survived by her sister, Patsy C. Bynaker of Mt. Airy, MD, and her nieces and nephews, Gary Bynaker (Rose), Patty Oroian (Mark), Christopher Bynaker and Penny Bynaker, along with many cousins, great nieces, and nephews. In addition, Lessie leaves behind her special cousin, Clara Callahan, and caregiver, Krystal Shinault.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Town of Wytheville Museums or Wytheville Community College Educational Foundation - please specify for the WCC Concert Band.

Visitation will be held at Barnett Funeral Home on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 10:00 am-11:00 am. The service will follow at 11:00 am.
