Lester Lee Hancock, age 66, of Little Creek, VA passed away January 16, 2025. He was born April 9, 1958 in Ithaca, NY to Leslie Ann Hancock Reynolds and the late Richard Lee Hancock Sr.  He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather Wayne Reynolds, great grandchild Bobbi Lee Hancock, friends Ronald Bruffey (Debbie). He was the chief of the Little Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and his passion was being football coach and Little League baseball coach for Bland County. He served three terms as a union president and retired from Volvo Trucks. He enjoyed hunting and vacationing with his family as well as throwing ball with his dogs Jake and Alley.  Family was everything to him.

Lester is survived by his wife of 47 years Rosemary Hancock; son Jason Hancock(Leeann) of Dublin, VA; daughter Crystal Dixon (Jason) of Independence, VA; mother Leslie Ann Hancock Reynolds of Radford, VA; brother Richard Hancock and wife Heather of Christiansburg, VA; sisters Elizabeth Anderson of Hiwassee, VA, Penny Goodwin and husband Fred of Lynchburg, VA, Pamela Boggs-Stewart of Elizabethton, TN; seven grandchildren Victoria, Dylan, Devan, Emilee, Riley, Kylie, Khloe; three great grandchildren; and  Best Friend Denny Bowers.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastors Linda Hale and Derek Cowan officiating. The family will receive friends, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.
