Letha Colleen Hash

Letha Colleen Melton Hash, age 71, of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Born on May 5, 1955, she was the daughter of the late James Garner Melton and Dorothy Ruth Knuckles Melton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Max Hash.

Letha had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She found great peace outdoors—whether she was tending to her garden, watching hummingbirds, or spending a quiet afternoon fishing. Above all, she treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her warmth, love for animals, and devotion to her family will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three sons, Tim Hash, Shawn Hash, and Aaron Hash; her daughter, Heather Bailey; her brother, James Melton; and her sister, Patricia Lachut. She also leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense light to her life.

Abiding by Letha’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
