Linda Lou Nester Crawford, age 78, of Wytheville, VA passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born January 25, 1944 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Chalmer and Etta Bond Nester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Crawford and a brother, Hassle Nester.

Linda's greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She was employed for several years by Wythe County Schools as a Teacher's Aide at Jackson Memorial Elementary. Later, she received her CNA from Wytheville Community College and used her knowledge to attend to many patients whom she loved and treasured. She was a compassionate caregiver with many talents, especially gardening and growing flowers. Linda was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Terena Crawford of Galax, VA, Morgan and Michelle Crawford of Max Meadows, VA; six grandchildren, Lynnsey, Kelcey, Adonel, Reagan, Brandon and Patrick; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Bonnie Richardson of Concord, NC, Connie and J. C. Horton of Sylvatus, VA; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Francis Nester of Barren Springs, VA. Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

Private graveside services will be held at the Crawford Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the Reese Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
