Iris Lorene Lambert Perkey, age 98, of Bland, VA, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born May 28, 1926 in Bland County, daughter of the late Dewey and Pearl Lambert. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bane Perkey; three sisters, Jean Umbarger, Polly Barker and Opel Lambert; her brother, Leon Lambert.

Survivors include her son, Larry Dean Perkey and wife Ava of Bland; her grandson, Chad Perkey; great-grandson, Bane Perkey; special family friend, Susie Musser; nieces, Valerie and Kevin Hatcher, Audrey Lambert; nephew, Leon Lambert, Jr. A host of extended family and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Old Bethel Cemetery with the Reverend Sammy Shupe officiating.
