Lucille Virginia Stephens Kensinger, age 89 of Bland and formerly of Dunedin, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Carrington Place in Wytheville, VA.  She was born in Poplar Hill, VA on March 24, 1928 to the late Daniel Watson Stephens and Narcie Mae Nicewander Witt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Eugene Kensinger and two brothers Daniel E. Stephens and William (Sonny) E. Stephens.  She graduated from Beaver High School, Bluefield, West Virginia and was a member of the Laurel Fork Baptist Church in Rocky Gap, Virginia, formerly a member of the First Baptist Church in Dunedin, Florida, for over 30 years. She was a children's Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.

She is survived by three sons, Barry A. (Vicki) Kensinger of Bland; Gary W. (Debbie) Kensinger of Bland; Darryl E. (Tina) Kensinger of Tamaqua, PA; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Crystal) Kensinger, Bryan (Ashley) Kensinger, Jonathan Kensinger, David Kensinger, Jesse (Mike) McDonough, Sarah (Noe) Mendez and Joshua Kensinger and six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 6 P.M. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Highland's Bland Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robert Walker and Reverend Ted Anders officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens in Palm Harbor, Florida.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
