Obituary

Lucille Parks Long, age 88 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at her home.  She was born in Sugar Grove, VA on November 16, 1933 the daughter of the late Amos Parks and Helen Virginia Gordon Parks.  She was a long time member of the Crockett Tabernacle Church.

Surviving are her children:

Debra Owens          of WV

Thomas Sexton       of Rural Retreat, VA

Kathleen Bowman (Kevin)           of Alabama

Juanita Wieburg (Floyd)               of Rural Retreat, VA

Brothers:

Bentley Parks          of Wytheville, VA

Carl Parks                 of Marion, VA

Grandchildren:

Billy Street, Andrea Poole, Rachel Smith, Kyle Bowman

Four great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. June 2, 2022 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Rev Richard Collins officiating with a committal service to follow 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
