Mae Frances Wise, age 78, of Wytheville, VA passed away Monday, February 2, 2026. She was born June 29, 1947 in Grayson County, daughter of the late Jesse James Kyle and Ozelle Johnson Kyle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wise.

Survivors include her daughter, Tonya Jones of Wytheville; her son, David Jones, Jr. and Savannah Parsons of Galax; two sisters, Lydia Campbell of Galax and Phyllis and Ken Johnson of Wytheville. Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Pastor Shelley Kyle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.

Burial will follow in West End Cemetery.
