Majorie "Sue" Stacy, peacefully passed away at the age of 88 in her home in Franklin Pennsylvania on January 15, 2026 after a short illness. Sue was a New Years Eve baby born Dec 31, 1937 in the coal town of Bonny Blue Virginia to Samuel and Elizabeth Brown. Sue lived in Wytheville (Max Meadows) VA from 1992 until 2020 when she moved to Franklin PA to be close to her daughter Rhonda. Before moving to Wytheville, she lived in Pasadena MD for 40+ years.
She was the youngest of the 6 Brown children, all of which have gone to be with the Lord. Brothers "Benjamin Garvey", "Renard Eugene", "Gilbert Frazier", Sisters "Neata Brown Pierce" and "Clara" who died during birth. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband Seldon Stacy and her son Timothy Seldon Stacy.
Sue is survived by her daughter Rhonda Loeb and husband Daniel of Franklin PA and grandchildren Daniel Loeb II, April Loeb Coughlin and husband Greg, Jason Stacy and wife Stacie of Glen Burnie MD and Brett Stacy and sister Megan Stacy Gawaran. She is also survived by Tiffany and Ryan Molz who loved her like she was their own, best friends Shelby and Gary Martin and son Adam and many many Great Grandchildren and family who always referred to her affectionately as "Grandmom".
Funeral Services at Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville Virginia are planned for Wednesday Jan 21 2026. Viewing will be from 12:30-1:30 with a funeral service at 1:30 and Interment immediately following in Mt. Mitchell Cemetery.
