Margaret Vernett Beasley Moore, age 93, of Wytheville, VA passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017. She was born February 24, 1923 in Albemarle County, VA, daughter of the late Thomas Lee Beasley and Etta Wood Beasley and was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Hamilton Moore; son, Johnny Moore; granddaughter, April Leigh Slaughter; five brothers and one sister.  Margaret was a member of the Wytheville Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and gardening.  She is survived by her son, Joseph F. Moore of Dublin, VA; daughter, Phyllis Moore Slaughter of Wytheville, VA; grandson, J.T. Moore; three great- grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Irving officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Rock Spring United Methodist Church Cemetery in Faber, VA.  Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the Moore family.
