Mariah Wells, age 71, of Austinville, VA passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024. She was born February 21, 1953 in Odessa, TX and was preceded in death by her father, Buck C. Mackey, Jr., her mother, Martha Burleson and a brother, Buck C. Mackey, III. She was a United States Army veteran with 12 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Dale Wells; two sons, David and Lori Calhoun of Danville, IN and Patrick Calhoun of Austinville; daughter, Margo Jones of Walton, IN; step-daughter, Becky Wells of Georgetown, KY; a brother, J.D. Burleson; two sisters, Georgia Hayes and husband Wilbur, Beverly Johnson and husband Mike; nephews, Brandon Hayes and Leah, Ryan Hayes and Rachel; niece, Brianna Johnson.; grandchildren, Nikita, Natalie, Peyton, Isabella, Annalise, Emerson, Addison, Alexander, Haley, Emme, Addie, Ruby and Jade.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the Reese Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Samaritan's Purse or the American Cancer Society.
