Marilene Elizabeth Burrell

Marilene Elizabeth Splawn Burrell, age 86, of Wytheville, VA passed away Monday, July 13, 2026. She was born April 30, 1940 in Asheville, NC, daughter of the late Howard and Ethel Coleman Splawn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald Eugene Burrell, Sr., two daughters, Rhonda Thompson and Deanna Burrell and a sister, Patricia Coleson.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald, Jr. and Denise Burrell of Austinville; her daughter, Sharon Kyzer of Clayton, NC; a special great-grandchild, Conner Blake. 2 grandchildren and 2 additional great-grandchildren also survive.

There will be no services. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Burrell family.
