Mark Homer Blackburn, age 56, of Wytheville, VA passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at his home. He was born on July 13, 1964 and was preceded in death by his father, Homer Blackburn and his infant brother, Michael John Blackburn.

Mark was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. His passion was truck driving and he began his career at age 19 and continued until he fell ill in August 2019. He was known by many trucking friends as "Happy".  Mark also loved to hunt and fish.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Smith Blackburn; daughter, Ashley (Keith) Prater of Wytheville; son, Mark Aaron Scott (Kayla) Blackburn of Hurley, VA; mother, Helen Blackburn of Hurley; sisters, Cathy Hall of Hurley, Carol Wilson of Princeton, WV and Mary Blackburn of Bristol, VA; many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the home of his daughter, Ashley Prater with the Reverend Donnie Prater officiating. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the Blackburn family.
