Martha Jane "Janie" McMillan, age 86, passed away on Sunday June 23, 2024. Janie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Wytheville, VA.

Janie was preceded in death by her father Elon Gant, mother Fanny Gant, mother-in-law Gladys McMillan, brothers Woodrow and Bud Gant, and son Jeffrey McMillan.

Survivors include her husband of 66 ½ years Charles B. McMillan; her son Mike McMillan (Lee); and daughters Diana Vanantwerp (Barney), Michelle Burton(Luther), Lynda "Susie" Thomas(Zane),  also surviving seven grandchildren Kelly Vanantwerp, Jill Chatterton(Drew), Yuri Barscht, Timmy Burton(Heather), Kristy Burton(Kaitlin), Sherry Burton and Adam McMillan. She had nine great grandchildren Zoee, Owen, Ean, and Ellie Chatterton, Isabella, Ryleigh, Chance Calder and Norie Burton.

Momma you are the true meaning of love, we will miss you dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Brother Mike Allen officiating. Visitation for the family and friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rural Retreat, VA.
