Matthew King, 66, of Bland VA, passed away, Friday, August 29, 2025. Born December 13, 1958, in Wytheville VA, he was the son of the late Earnest Karl King and Mary Edith Thompson King

He loved to hunt and fish and his favorite was Dirt Car Racing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Granny King, uncle Junior Thompson.

Survivors include, Brother Mark King, significant other of 42 Years Cathy Martin, many special extended family and friends.

Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday September 13, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Bland Funeral Chapel in Bland VA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ted Anders officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Bland Fire Department or Rescue Squad.
