Melvin Gene Williams, 83, of Ivanhoe VA, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024. Born March 5, 1941, in Tulare CA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Edna Simmons Williams.

He was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking with others. He worked for the Texas department of transportation for 37 years in Vega, TX.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Dalton Williams of the home; two daughters, Robin Yvette Schiller and husband Danny Schiller of Greenville TX and Rhonda Gail Reagan of Ft Worth TX; sister, Barbara Ann Williams Brown; six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Fairview Community Church of Ivanhoe VA with Martha Luper officiating.

Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to Fairview Community Church.
