Michael Duane Johnson, 66, of Max Meadows VA, passed away, Friday, October 18, 2024. Born November 14, 1957, in Wytheville VA, he was the son of the late Frank and Ruby Umberger Johnson.

He was a big Minnesota Viking fan. He loved all sports. He was dedicated to his nieces and nephews and loved spending time with his great nieces and nephews. He loved kids and was a big brother at one time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one niece, Amber Noel Johnson.

Survivors include his brother, Stephen Johnson and wife Jackie; his sister, Amy Johnson, both of Max Meadows; one niece, Mintsy Shelton and one nephew, Stephen Johnson Jr,; great nieces and nephews, Emily Mills, Zach Shelton, Bradley Bobbitt, Ty Stillwell.

Memorial Services will be conducted, Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Barnett Funeral Home; with Pastor Rev. Terry Eversole officiating; a private burial will follow at a later date at Mount Zion Cemetery.
