Michael Chad Walk, age 53, of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born March 14, 1972 in Radford, VA, son of the late Harry Walk and Janie Davidson Graham. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his former wife, Amanda Walk; a daughter, Anabel Walk; a son, Caleb Walk, all of Glade Spring, VA; two brothers, Jody and Joyce Walk of Wytheville, VA and Kevin Walk of Richmond, VA; a nephew, Matthew Walk and a niece, Sarah Davis. Several cousins and extended family and close friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Reese Funeral Home with Pastor Caleb Kestner and Pastor Wade Kestner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before service time. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Reese Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Walk family.
