Mildred "Sissye" Collins Sisk, age 95, claimed the promise of the Resurrection on September 2, 2017.  She was born January 10, 1922 in Max Meadows to the late John Mack and Carrie Ellen Vaughan Collins.  Sissy was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Wytheville.  She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Van Sisk and a brother Bernard Collins.  Survivors include her daughter, Marie Sisk Linkous of Pulaski; brother and sister-in-law, Robert "Bob" B. and Sandra G. Collins of Roanoke; two sisters, Doris C. Semones of Pulaski; Geneva C. Roberts of Burlington, NC; two grandsons, Tommy and Timmy Linkous; Several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held 2 P.M. September 5, 2017 at West End Cemetery in Wytheville with Reverend Warren Carswell officiating.  There will be no services at the funeral home.
