Nannie Rebecca "Becky" Sage, age 86, of Rural Retreat, Va. passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was born June 30, 1939 in Wythe County, Va to the late Albert Baine Parks and Della Inez Rich Parks. She was preceded in death by her husband Hurley Watson Sage, her brothers Glenn Parks and William Parks, sister Shirley Vipperman, and grandchild Caitlyn Simons.

She worked for 37 years as a seamstress in the garment factory. She liked to play card games like Rook and Spades. She enjoyed spending time with family, family gatherings, and going to church.

She is survived by her four sons Albert "Buster" Sage of the home, Arthur Wayne Sage of Chilhowie, Michael Sage and wife Heather of Cedar Springs, Mark Anthony Sage and wife Brenda of Rural Retreat, Martin Andrew Sage of Sugar Grove; daughter Joyce Ann Cole and husband Samuel Mark of Sugar Grove; brothers Richard Parks of Rural Retreat, Danny Ray Parks of Marion; sisters Frieda Osborne of Crockett, Linda Parks of Huckleberry; eight grandchildren Nikki and Kyle Testerman, Heather Sage, Rebecca and husband David Long, Kenny Cole and Samantha Leedy, Cliff Cole and wife Amanda, Kevin Cole, Josh and Karraissa Simons, and Shannon Hale; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the Fairview Cemetery in Rural Retreat with Pastor Mike Sage and Pastor Richard Collins officiating.

The Family will receive friends following the service at the Rural Retreat Community Center
