Nathan Dyer "Tuck" Lephew, age 87 of Max Meadows VA, passed away Saturday March 8, 2025. He was born October 23, 1937 in Wythe County Virginia, the son of the late Samuel Carl Leffew and Virginia Bralley Leffew Porter.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Anderson Lephew and a sister Sue Coleman.

Tuck was a retired US Air Force Vietnam veteran. He also retired from the Wythe County Sheriff's department as an investigator.

He is survived by two sons, Wade and Annette Lephew of Draper VA, Brad Lephew of Mooresville NC; a sister, Barbara Jean and Tommy Duncan of Austinville VA; brother-in-law, Franklin Coleman of Austinville VA; grandchildren, Hillary Lephew, Cameron and Melinda Lephew; great grandchildren, Nolan, Isabelle and Miles Lephew. Several nieces, nephews many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday March 12, 2025 at the Reese Funeral Home in Austinville VA with Reverend Ronnie Isom officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until service time. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Bethany Community Church Cemetery.

Although flowers will be appreciated, those who prefer may make memorial donations to the Samaritans Purse. The Reese Funeral Home in Austinville VA is serving the Lephew family.
