Nell V. Catron, 87 of Bastian, VA went to be home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 4, 2023.  Born July 17, 1936 she was the daughter of the late William Vanover and Stella Teague Vanover.  She loved her family, church family, friends and everyone she met.  She was a true blessing to her church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Catron; son-in-law, Steve Clark; sisters, Pauline, Erma, Frances, Smiles and June; brothers, Johnny and Billy.

Survivors include her daughter, Dee Dee Clark; grandchildren, Jimbo and Amy Clark, Lorie and Jason Hale, Alex and Jessica Clark; great-grandchildren, Miah, Sam, Ethan, Logan, Remy and Mae; great-great-grandchild, Amira; numerous nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind many special families, friends, her church family and neighbors.

Nell was deeply loved by her family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Bastian Church of God and truly loved serving there.  Nell loved to laugh and made everyone around her laugh as well. She always had a smile on her face and was a joy to be around. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing and loving her.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Bastian Church of God with Pastor Cliff Bowman officiating with a graveside committal service to follow 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Rosehill Cemetery in Bastian, VA.  The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.
