Nellie Marilyn Davis Burke, 87, of Wytheville VA, passed away, Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Born April 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John Clark and Rhiney Arnold Davis.

She loved reading, cardinals, and Pepsi. She enjoyed tending to her flower beds. She had a very extensive plate collection. She loved spending time with her Grandchildren and Sunday lunches.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Davis Burke, son Douglas David Burke, daughter Rita Purcell, two brothers, Joe Lee Davis, John Clark Davis Jr, three sisters, Mary Lou Blevins, Betty Arnold, and Wanda Moyer.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Davis Burke of Wytheville VA, Douglas Davis Burke II of Wytheville VA, two daughters, Patricia Billings of Wytheville VA, Rebecca Oester and husband Eric of Toledo OH, 10+ Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Wytheville Baptist Church at 4 P.M. with Pastor Tim Irving officiating.

Friends may call Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Wytheville Baptist Church from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Burial will follow in The St Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery at a later date.
