Nora Lee Williams Byers age 79 of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025. She was born in Washington, DC the daughter of the late Walter Lee Williams and Nora Lee Buck Williams. Nora Lee was a registered nurse and had been a Volunteer EMT with the Rural Retreat Volunteer Emergency Services.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Phillip Lee Byers; daughters, Jocinda Lee Corvin and son-in-law Brian Corvin, Stacie Lynn Stroupe; grandchildren, Jordan Corvin, Aeriel Corvin, Braydn Corvin, Cameron Corvin, Kellie Stroupe; special friends, Beverly Wynn and Teresa Woods.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March26, 2025 at the West End Cemetery in Wytheville, VA with Pastor Jonathan Hamman officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the Lindsey Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
