Norma Boatwright Willis, age 83, of Rural Retreat passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born in Jonesville, VA on November 3, 1940. She was preceded by her husband Earnest Dale Willis and mother Alma Browning Boatwright. She was a member of the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church. She was a beloved teacher in Rural Retreat, VA for 30 years and a total of teaching for over 40 years.

She is survived by her son, Robert Dell Willis (Geneva); a grandson Cayden Willis, all of Rural Retreat, VA; a brother Bob Boatwright (Joy); and a niece Sandra Boatwright Cooper, all of Bristol, VA.

A Celebration of Life and Visitation will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Lindsey Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Payne and Rev. Derek Cowin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Rural Retreat.
