On the evening of May 18, 2026, a beautiful soul left to go home. She was reunited with her husband, parents, siblings, grandson, and many friends that went before her. Paige Waller Alderman was loved by many. She will always be remembered by how she welcomed people into her life and home. She was a mother figure to not only her daughters’ friends but also her grandchildren’s friends. She will be so greatly missed. Until we meet again Mom, we love you.

Paige, age 91, was born November 15, 1934 in Wythe County, daughter of the late William Owen Waller and Virginia Hearn Waller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William “Bill” R. Alderman; a grandson, Michael Wayne Alderman; 5 sisters, Thelma Davis, Georgia Hanks, Aileen Jackson, Dorothy “Dot” Gravley and Alma Sue “Susie” Dunford; two brothers, Bernard Bevis Waller, Sr. and William Jackson “Jack” Waller.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Kathy A. Coley and Sherry A. Jones; 3 grandchildren, Allyson Kee Jones, Alicia Goodwin and Debra Dice; 4 great-grandchildren, Hanna, Miranda, Sara and Mikey; 1 great-great-grandchild, Carson Sennett. Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and numerous friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at West End Cemetery with the Reverend Roger Crigger and Pastor Travis Foster officiating.  Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the Alderman family.
