Pastor Robert Wade King, age 88 of Bland, VA transitioned from his earthly life into his heavenly life on Sunday, May 21, 2017.  His heart's passion was serving God and watching his grandchildren develop their growth in God.  He was the founder and Pastor of the Mt. Top Holiness Church in Bland and was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Griffith; sister, Mattie Gillespie and a brother, Earl King.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice Faye King; his children, Alan King and wife Debra, Lisa Harman and husband Jimmy all of Bland, Denise Hudgins and husband Anthony of Gilbert, WV; daughter-in-law, Crystal Griffith of Bland; grandchildren, Christopher Harman, Dillard King, Johnathon King, Tiffany Bradshaw, Kimberly Harman, Kayla Hudgins, John Michael Griffith, Travis King; great-grandchildren, Aria, Levi, Caleb, Makayla, Lilyana, Josiah; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Christopher Harman and Bishop Anthony Hudgins officiating.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service.
