Patricia (Patsy) Testerman, 94, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully Friday, June 14, 2024 surrounded by family.

She was born in Wythe County, Virginia on October 26, 1929 to the late Carl and Dorcas (Steffey) Testerman.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lena Testerman; brothers, John S. Testerman, Floyd R. Testerman, Douglas L. Testerman and a great nephew, Mica Gladwell.

Patsy is survived by her sisters, Violet Testerman of Harrington, Delaware and Carolyn Huddle of Roanoke; brother, James B. Testerman (Barbara) of Harrington, Delaware; nieces and nephews, Stephen Testerman and Rebecca Wilson (Dean) of Maryland, Jimmy Bales, Patty Huffman (Doug) and Terri Alley (David) of Roanoke, Laura Testerman Renshaw (Jerry) of Austin, Texas, Sandy Ryder (Greg) of Milford, Delaware, April Wright (Kevin) of Felton, Delaware, Aaron Testerman of Florida and Deanna Garrett of West Virginia.  Also surviving are 13 great nieces and nephews along with 6 great great nieces and nephews.

Patsy, a longtime resident of Roanoke, was retired from the Roanoke City Clerk of Circuit Court's office with 50+ years of service.  She was an active member of Melrose Baptist Church, the Roanoke Valley Democratic Women's Club, the Roanoke Valley Blind Bowlers and Roanoke Valley Women's Bowling League.  Patsy enjoyed travelling, reading, Atlanta Brave's baseball and her family.

She leaves a lasting impression on all who knew her, most especially her loving family.

The family wishes to thank her doctors and the staff of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for their help during her stay.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Oakey's North Chapel, 6732 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke from 11 AM – 1 PM and 5 PM – 7 PM with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Mark Mofield officiating.  There will be another visitation on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Lindsey Funeral Home, 219 N. Main Street, Rural Retreat, Virginia from 11 AM – 12 PM with the funeral to follow at 12 PM.  Burial will follow in the Fairview United Methodist Church cemetery in Rural Retreat.

The service will be livestreamed through Oakey's website for those who cannot attend the service.
