Patsy Steele Dix Lindsey, age 82, of Rural Retreat, VA passed away Tuesday November 30, 2021.   She was born July 20, 1939 in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late John Dix and Rosie Irvin Dix. She was preceded in death by brother Roger Dix.

She was a telephone operator for 25 years. She liked to golf. She was an avid gardener and homemaker. Charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Rural Retreat American Legion. Member of the board of directors for the Rural Retreat Emergency Board. She was a volunteer for several churches, and always there in time of need.

She was a beloved wife of 63 years.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M.  Saturday, December 4, 2021 in the James Lindsey Memorial Chapel at the Lindsey Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Dew officiating.  Pallbears will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbears are the Rural Retreat Rescue Squad.  Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Rural Retreat.
