Patty Jean Davis Dean, age 72, of Galax, VA passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born October 1, 1945 in West Virginia, daughter of the late Charlie and Beulah Viars Davis. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Alvin Davis and her sister, Charlene Rice Pierce. Patty attended several local churches. She is survived by three nephews, Casey and Mary Davis of Wytheville, VA, Lawrence C. Rice of Austinville, VA and Jason Rice; great nieces, Alana Davis, Stephanie Lopez and Kristie Davis; great great niece, Reina Lopez; friends of the family, Betty Blair and Tina Davis; several cousins and extended family.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Reese Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour before service time at the funeral home.
