Paul Hansford Howery, age 87, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born February 20, 1936 in Hansford, WV. He was the son of the late Emmet Charles and Mary Matilda Armbrister Howery. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rickey Howery; his brother, Charles E. Howery and sister, Frances H. Goebel.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jeff Henley of Wytheville; two sons, Michael D. Howery and Todd Howery, both of Max Meadows; grandchildren, Brandon Archer and Justin Archer; his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Elbert Houseman.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Rick Lindamood officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.
