Peter Isaac DeHart, age 94, of Max Meadows, VA passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was born August 8, 1928 in Pulaski County, the son of the late Austin Jones DeHart and Laura Jane Viars DeHart. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Hellen Dalton; four brothers, Delmar DeHart, Charlie DeHart, Reverend Harless DeHart and Jim DeHart; five sisters, Lessie Viars, Violet Riggins, Josie Allison, Frances Payne and Cora Dell Surface.

Survivors include his special friend, Dorothy Reece; his son, Floyd Dehart; three grandchildren, Tina, Amanda and Drema; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Sheldon and Evan. Several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Dale Akers and Reverend Charles McPeak officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Burial will follow at Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, Draper, VA.
