Phillip Lee Byers, age 80, of Rural Retreat, Virginia, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026. He was born in Oakland, California, on December 6, 1945, to the late Orville Joseph Byers and Dessie Lee Richmond Byers. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 56 years, Nora Lee Williams Byers. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his daughters, Jocinda Lee Corvin and son-in-law Brian Corvin, Stacie Lynn Stroupe; brother Bob Byers and wife Susie; sister Jannelle Dinucci; grandchildren, Jordan Corvin, Aeriel Corvin, Braydn Corvin, Cameron Corvin, and Kellie Stroupe.
Services and memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
