Presley Duane Jonas, age 81, of Wytheville, VA (the Huddle Community) passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017.  He was born in Carroll Co., VA on October 10, 1935 the son of the late Kemp Jonas and Ethel Marie Jennings Jonas.  He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy, a truck driver with Overnite Trucking and Jonas Express and a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Aidan Paul Jones.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Audrey Porter Jonas; sons, Tony Jonas and wife Linda of Wytheville, David Jonas of Seattle, WA; daughters, Diane Jonas of Max Meadows, VA, Gail Jonas of Ivanhoe, VA;  grandchildren, Toni Jo, Tommy, Amanda, Pam, Brandan;  great-grandchildren, Bradley, Garrett, Devin, Mahalia, Gracie, Ziva and a great-grandson, Jacob on the way.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Reese Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Carico officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the service with a committal service with full Military honors to be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA.
