Rachel Elisabeth Cantrell, 22, of Bland County, VA passed away Monday, May 09, 2022 unexpectedly at her home. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Rachel was born on July 27, 1999 in Charleston, WV to the late Bangor and Donna Cantrell of Wharncliffe, WV. She lived a short, happy life that ended too soon.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Bangor Cantrell, Jr. and both sets of grandparents, Bangor (Ethel) Cantrell of Wharncliffe, WV and Warren Hardy (Ethel) Bragg of Sarah Ann, WV.

Survivors include her fiancé, Joshua Fletcher of Bland, VA; mother, Donna Cantrell and step-dad Russell Daniels of Bland, VA; sister, Rena (Jeffery) Estepp of Graham, NC; two nieces, Julia and Makayla Estepp and one nephew Kenneth Estepp of Graham, NC. A host of cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.

The family will be receiving friends Monday, May 16, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bland Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Bland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tom Maurer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bland Cemetery. Joshua Fletcher, Jeffery Estepp, Russell Daniels, Jerry Daniels, Bobby Belcher, and Marvin Coleman Jr will serve as pallbearers.
