Ralph Edward King, age 85, of Rural Retreat, VA. passed away Tuesday February 18, 2025.  He was born in Wythe County VA., on December 06, 1939 to the late Wiley Hobson King Jr. and Pearl Catherine Cox King. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tamara Lynn King, brother Garnett King, sisters Edna Fowler, Betty Grubb, Patsy Sheffey and infant sister Peggy King.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Judy F. King, son Clifton King and wife Misty of Rural Retreat; 4 grandchildren, Zachary King, Brandi Moore, Terri Lawson and Ashlyn Dalton; 6 great grandchildren Parker, Brady, Brennan, Connor, Brent, and Briggs; sister Shirley Winebarger of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home with Pastor Joanna Corvin officiating.   Private inurnment will follow in the King's Grove Cemetery (Crockett) Monday February 24, 2025. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Rural Retreat Emergency Services.
