Ralph Earl Trivette, age 78, of the Piney Community, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022. He was born August 5, 1944 in Ashe County, NC. Earl was the son of the late Reverend Bill and Helen Trivette of Mt. City, TN. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Trivette and mother-in-law, Dorothy Poole.
Earl was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a member of the "Lambs of God" singing duo.
Earl was an avid fisherman and the owner of E.T. Lures. He spent many hours on the details of his handmade lures, and he loved to give away as many as he sold. He was also the owner and operator of Trivette's Heating and Air prior to his retirement.
Survivors include the love of his life, Diana Poole Trivette; his children, Renee and Danny Dunford of Max Meadows, Rodney and Jennifer Jones of Troutville; father-in-law, Dwight Poole of Max Meadows; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pam and Dave Atkinson of Lexington, SC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frankie and Angie Poole of Pulaski; those who call him Poppy - Tyler, Hannah and Isaac Dunford of Max Meadows, Taylor, Charlie and Landon Jones of Troutville and Fur-daughter, Bella.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Reverend Danny Shortridge and Reverend Ted Anders officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, VA is serving the Trivette family.
