Ray Kenneth Sharp, 90, of Austinville, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, David and Helen Sharp; his brothers, Warren Sharp and Dale Sharp; and his sisters, Joan Parnell and Claudia Doss.

Ray lived a long life defined by hard work, dedication and a deep commitment to serving others. Throughout his life, both in his personal relationships and in his business, he was known as a man of integrity, kindness and quiet strength. He believed in doing things the right way, working diligently and helping those around him whenever he could. His example of perseverance and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Above all, Ray treasured his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Peggy Sharp. He was the father of two sons, Kenneth Sharp (Trish) and Dennis Sharp (Amy). He was a proud grandfather to Micah Sharp (Ashley) and Hunter Sharp (Samantha). Ray was also blessed with four beloved great-granddaughters: Nora Kate Sharp, Amelia Sharp, Remi Sharp and Sophia Sharp, who brought him great joy and pride.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the Reese Funeral Home with the Reverend Theron Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time. Burial will follow in Sanders Cemetery.
